Arc of Hilo and DVR are partnered to provide a meaningful summer school-to-work experience, and tentatively, we’re planning on transportation to be provided for those unable to otherwise attend, within 25 miles.

Program will run from May to August

Program hours: 9:00 am -1:00 pm

For youth with disabilities ages 16-21

Work-based learning in

Transportation and lunch included.

Note:  participants must enroll with DVR to enroll in this program, so time is of the essence to get applications submitted!  I’ve included the initial application, and feel free to have any interested parent reach out to me directly and I’m happy to help expedite the process with DVR so that their kid can be approved for the program that will start at the end of May.

The good news, if they enroll now, their case will follow them through to high school exit into supported employment.
