Below you will find some links, contact information, and attachments that were requested by various staff and/or things I promised to send.
There is an upcoming conference for Hawaii families called “Listen to Me! Hawaii.” Families with D/HH children, siblings, and extended family members, are welcome to join us for small group learning, music lessons, individualized auditory verbal therapy, and large group instruction. EI professionals are also welcome to contact Julie Cooper, director, regarding volunteer opportunities or paid positions at the conference. If anyone would like to come and observe sessions at the conference, they are welcome to do so. Here is their website and I also attached the flyer: https://www.bakerinstituteforchildren.org/listentome/hawaii/
The Baker Institute for Children with Hearing Loss collaborates with Stanford University to put on the Listen to Me! Hawaii Conference. Their website has tons of helpful resources including “Strategies in Action” which is a free video library. These strategies help D/HH children whose families have chosen listening and spoken language: https://www.bakerinstituteforchildren.org/resources/videos/
