Assistive Technology
EVERYBODY uses assistive technology (AT) in some way. Have you used Google Map, or Siri? You are using AT! Some of us need more intensive AT devices. For example, my View From a Wheelchair showcases how I continue my passion for photography, but now with the “assistance” of the Bumblebee. My good friend Brian Kajiyama was the first person featured in our Living Lives with Cerebral Palsy series. He uses a power wheelchair and an Augmentative Communication Device to run his classes as an instructor at the University of Hawai’i Special Education Department.
The following resources may be of “assistance” to you!
